The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

We are pleased to announce that we are holding our monthly General Meeting in-person on Wednesday April 6th after many months of meeting on Zoom. The meeting will be at 7:00 PM at the lorain County Metro Parks Carlisle Visitors Center on Diagonal Road in Lagrange Township. For Directions, click on the "Maps" tab on the home page of this website ( blackriverastro.org ). The public is welcome. Our Treasurer, Dan Walker will be speaking on "Understand Precesion". We hope to see you there. Due to technical issues, this meeting will NOT be live streamed on Facebook . We should be back to live streaming next month.
