The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing OPEN for 4/23/'22
We are OPEN for Public Observing tonight, Saturday April 23, 2022 from 9:00-11:00 PM. For directions to the Nielsen Observatory, please click on the "Maps"tab on the home page of this website. Please park in the parking lot on the right and walk over to the observatory, as parking beside the building is reserved for club members unloading telescopes and equipment, and also, watch for deer on the drive in.
