The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Astrophotography Program
BRAS member Jude Gennari is doing a program at the Sandusky Public Library on Wednesday May 11, 2022 at 6:00 PM. The program is titled "Astrophotography: Capturing the Night Sky from Your Backyard". This will be an hour long Power Point program on how Jude got started as an astrophotographer, and walks through beginning and intermediate techniques. BRAS astrophotographers, and those members interested in becoming astrophotographers are encouraged to attend.
