The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Nov. General Meeting in Peters Hall on Oberlin College Campus
Our November General Meeting has been moved to the lobby of Peters Hall located at 50 North Professor St. on the Oberlin College Campus, across from the Memorial Arch on Tappan Square. It will be at 7:00 PM as usual. After the meeting we will observe the night sky from the observing deck at Peters Hall if the weather is clear, or we will enjoy a planetarium show there instead in case of cloudy/rainy weather. This event is open to club members and the public and is free of charge.
