The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Solar Observing CANCELLED 10/10/'21
We have CANCELLED solar observing for Sunday Oct. 10th due to solid cloud cover, and the fact that it is currently sprinkling. Sadly, this was our last solar session of the year. We continue our night time Public Observing sessions, of course, with our next star party Friday Nov. 5, 2021 from 8:00-10:00 with Saturday the 6th as our back-up date.
