The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing OPEN Friday 4/14/'15
We will be OPENING the Nielsen Observatory for a public star party tonight, Friday April 24,2015 from 9:00-11:00. Come join us to view the night sky through powerful telescopes. Please dress warmly, as Spring seems to have deserted Ohio again. Please park in the parking lot to the left as you drive in unless you are unloading equipment beside the observatory. We hope you can join us!
