The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing OPEN for Friday 5/8/'15
We are OPENING the Nielsen Observatory tonight, Friday May 8th from 9:00-11:00PM. Please join us to observe the night sky through powerful telescopes. Please park in the parking lot to the right as you come in, unless unloading telescopes and equipment, in which case park beside the observatory. Please watch for deer as you drive back. Because we are open tonight, we will NOT be open tomorrow night, Sat.5/9. We hope you can join us.
