The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing for Friday 11/8 is ON!
We will be OPEN tonight, Friday Nov. 8th from 7:00-9:00 PM. The weather is supposed to clear by 7:00 even though it is somewhat cloudy now. Please dress warmly, as it will be cold. There is a map to the Nielsen Observatory under the "Maps" tab on this web site if you are unsure where we are located. Please join us for our only public event this month.
