The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Wellington Night Walk is ON FOR sunday Nov. 10th
The Night Walk at the Wellington Reservation is ON for tonight, Sunday Nov. 10th. This event starts at 6:30 and runs until 8:00. Come join naturalist Becky Bode as she leads a walk to the observing mound discussing the joys of nature during the evening hours. Once at the observation mound, Kelly Ricks and other Black River Astronomical Society members will point out early winter constellations and there will be several telescopes available to use to view the moon and other sights in the evening sky. Please dress warmly and join us!
