The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

October General Meeting Location Change
Due to the Lorain County Metro Parks large Halloween Fair, that lasts all month, we have moved our monthly meeting location to the Metro Parks Amherst Beaver Creek Reservation. Beaver Creek is just off Route 2 on Oak Point Rd, to the south of the Rt. 2 exit ranp. If you have ever attended our Christmas pot luck meeting, this is the same location.
The meetimng will begin at 7:00 PM as usual and will have elections for our Board of Directors and a short video. Dues ($20) are also due at that meeting. We hope to see you there. As always, the public is welcome and the event is free.
