The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

We are OPEN for Public Observing for Friday September 16, 2022 from 9:00-11:00 PM at the Nielsen Observatory. For directions to the observatory,see the home page of this website, and click on the "Maps" tab. Join us to see Jupiter with it's cloud bands on the surface and it's four moons, and golden Saturn with the beautiful rings. We hope you can join us!
