The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

We are OPEN for a public star party tonight Friday July 22, 2022 from 10:00-12:00 PM at the Nielsen Observatory. For directions to the observatory, please go to the home page of this website and click on the "Maps" tab. Please park in the parking lot on the right and walk over to the observatory; parking beside the building is restricted to members unloading telescopes and equipment and people with mobility issues. Please watch for deer on the drive in. We hope you can join us.
