The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing OPEN for Friday 7/21/'17
We are OPEN for Public Observing tonight, Friday July 21st, 2017 from 10:00-12:00 Midnight. We will have to work around some cloud cover, but both Jupiter and Saturn should look beautiful. Come join us to see the beauty of the night sky. Please park in the parking lot on the right and walk over to the observatory. Parking beside the building is restricted to members unloading telescopes and equipment. Please watch for deer on the drive in.
