We are opening the Nielsen Observatory to the public tonight from 9:00-11:00 PM. Please join us to view the wonders of the night sky through our 14" telescopes. Please click on the "Maps" tab at the top of the home page on this website for a map to the observatory. Please park in the parking lot and walk over to the observatory. Parking beside the building is restricted to members unloading telescopes or equipment. Please watch for deer on the drive in. Feel free to ask questions. We hope you can join us!

The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
