We are OPENING the Nielsen Observatory for public observing tonight, Friday Sept. 9th from 9:00-11:00 PM. There will be some clouds but we can work around them to get some good observing done. Please park in the parking lot on the right unless unloading telescopes and equipment. Also, watch for deer on the drive in. Click on the MAPS tab on the home page of this website for a map to the observatory. We hope you can join us!

The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
