Public observing OPEN Friday 6/24/'16

.     We are OPENING the Nielsen Observatory to members and the public tonight from 10:00-12:00 Midnight. Join us to see Mars, Jupiter and Saturn as well as various dark sky objects.
Don't forget the World Wide Solstice Festival this Sunday at the Lorain County Metroparks Mill Hollow Reservation (south side) . We will have food, live music, solar observing, the Worlds Largest Portable Sundial, solar videos from NASA and craft vendors. The festival starts at noon and ends at 6:00 PM . We will also have information about the total solar eclipse in August of 2017. This is our biggest event of the year, and we can use help from the members, if you can attend. We hope to see you there!
