Public Observing for Friday 2/21/'14 is ON
We are ON for Public Observing tonight, Friday 2/21/'14. Come to the Nielsen Observatory and see Jupiter with it's 4 visible moons and the Great Orion Nebula, among other celestial delights. The temperature will be in the 30s and it will be windy, so please dress warmly. Also, please stay on the asphalt path that leads to the observatory as the ground is very swampy. The observatory is, of course on concrete. We hope to see you tonight ! We start at 7:00 and will observe until 9:00 PM. See the MAPS tab on this website, if you need directions to the observatory.
