The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

General Meeting CANCELED for 2/5/'14 and MOVED TO 2/12/'14
The General Meeting for Wednesday Feb. 5th has been cancelled and MOVED to next Wednesday Feb.12th. The meeting will be at 7:00 in the Carlisle Room of the Carlisle Visitors Center as usual. John Reising, one of our most experienced and knowledgeable members will speak on Mars and the coming opposition. The public is invited to join us, and the program is free.
