INTERNATIONAL OBSERVE THE MOON NIGHT

Please join us for International Observe the Moon Night. This event is October 12th from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Nielsen Observatory. Our moon is larger than Pluto and can be as close to Earth as 225,000 miles, which makes it an ideal target for observation. Come see the moon through powerful telescopes and view mountains, craters and open plains in brilliant light and shadow. Please see the "Maps" tab on this website  to see where the Nielsen Observatory is located. Please note that this event is clear skies only.
