Public Observing CANCELLED for Friday May 17th
We have CANCELLED Public Observing for tonight due to a forecast of increasing clouds and poor transparency. The National Weather Service is predicting a cloud cover of almost 60% at 10:00 and getting worse as the night progresses. The Oberlin Clear Sky Clock predicts over 70% cloud cover at 11:00. It will also be windy. For the above reasons, the evening is just not very conducive to astronomy. We have tomorrow, Saturday the 18th as our back-up, and while the forecast does not look better now, check back tomorrow as forecasts change fast this time of year.
