The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing OPEN Sat. 11/11/'23
We are OPEN for Public Observing tonight, Saturday Nov. 11th, 2023 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Nielsen Observatory. Please click on the "Maps" tab on the home page of this website for directions. This is a free event, and there is no registration needed...simply come and enjoy seeing the wonders of the night sky through our powerful telescopes. We recommend that you dress warmly, and please watch for deer on the drive in.
