The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing CANCELLED for 11/10/'23
While it is currently sunny, the forecasts we use for astronomy all predict that clouds will roll in around dinner time. Thus we are CANCELLING Public Observing for tonight, and we will instead observe tomorrow night, Saturday Nov. 11th from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Nielsen Observatory. We hope you can join us as this will be our last scheduled observing session until January. For directions to the observatory click on the "Maps" tab on this website.
