The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing CANCELLED FOR 2/18/'23
Although it is currently clear, annoyingly, all the forecasts call for increasing clouds this afternoon and into the evening with poor seeing and transparency. Thus we have cancelled Public Observing for Saturday Feb.18, 2023. Our next General Meeting is Wednesday March 1, 2023 at the Lorain County Metro Parks Carlisle Visitors Center at 7:00 PM.
