The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

General Meeting 7/7/'21
Our next General Meeting is Wednesday July 7th at 7:00 pm at the Lorain County Metro Parks Carlisle Visitors Center on Diagonal Road in Carlisle Township. See our website blackriverastro.org and click on the "Maps" tab for directions. We will present an Observers Calendar, a constellation of the month and we have a speaker. The speaker will be Tim Kreja on:"A History of the Reflecting Telescope". The public is welcome to attend. Please note that the Metro Parks asks that those unvaccinated wear a mask and distance a little. Any vaccinated people who feel more comfortable being masked are welcome to do so as well. We hope you can join us!
