We have once again had to CANCEL Public Observing for Saturday, Feb. 17th, 2018 due to clouds and a forecast of light snow.
Our next monthly General Meeting will be Wednesday March 7th at 7:00 at the Carlisle Visitors Center of the Lorain Co. Metro Parks on Diagonal Road. Please click on the "Maps" tab on the home page of this website if you need directions. Our speaker will be Dr. Dan Stinebring of Oberlin College speaking on the latest research on gravity waves. The public is welcome and there is no charge.
Our next Public Observing session is scheduled for Friday March 16th from 8:00-10:00 at the Nielsen Observatory. A map and directions to the observatory can also be found by clicking on the "Maps" tab.

The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
