We are OPEN for Public Observing at the Nielsen Observatory tonight, Friday Aug. 25th from 10:00-12:00 Midnight. Having seen the magic of the eclipse in the daytime sky, come join us to see the beauty of the nighttime sky through our powerful telescopes. Please park in the parking lot on the right and walk over to the building as parking beside the observatory is for members unloading telescopes and heavy equipment. Watch for deer on the way in. Please see the "Maps" tab on the home page of this website for directions. The weather promises to be cool and clear, so grab a hoodie or jacket and join us!

The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
