We are OPENING the Nielsen Observatory to the public tonight 8/11/'15, from 10:00-Midnight. Come join us in viewing the night sky through our 14' telescopes. The entire roof of the observatory rolls off to expose the interior to the sky and we should be able to give some nice views of astronomical objects including Jupiter and it's moons. We hope you can join us!

The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
