The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing is OPEN tonight, Friday 11/21/'14
We will be OPENING the Nielsen Observatory tonight from 8:00-10:00 to the public. Please join us in viewing the night sky with powerful telescopes. The weather has cleared, but it will be cold and breezy. Please dress warmly, like you were attending a Browns game in December. We hope to see you there. (Please note that because we are open tonight, tomorrow's session is cancelled.)
