Public Observing is CANCELLED for Saturday March 29th due to snow and solid cloud cover.
We have our next General Meeting on Wednesday April 2nd at 7:00 PM at the Lorain County Metro Parks Carlisle Visitors Center on Diagonal Road. This meeting is open to the public and one of our most experienced observers, John O'Neal, will speak on "40 Comets in 40 Years" Please join us!
We will also sponsor a Moonlight Walk at the LCMP Wellington Reservation on Sunday 4/6 at 8:30 PM. Kelly Ricks will host a walk to the observing mound where telescopes will be set up to view the night sky. In case of bad weather, Kelly will present a program on astronomy inside the Visitors Center. The public is warmly invited!
The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
