We have sadly CANCELLED Public Observing for tonight Friday Jan.24, 2014. In a rare occurrence, every weather app and forecast I have available all agree on solid cloud cover, high winds and wind chills 'way below zero. Add this to developing snow, and it is just not a night for astronomy. Tomorrow also looks poor, but we will wait until Saturday afternoon to make a decision.
Our next General Meeting, which is open to the public, will be Feb. 5th at 7:00 PM at the Lorain Co. Metroparks Carlisle Visitors Center on Diagonal Road. Experienced observer John Reising will speak on the upcoming Mars opposition. We hope you can join us!
Our next Public Observing session is scheduled for Feb. 21st (Friday) from 7:00-9:00 PM with Saturday Feb. 22nd as our back-up date. Let's hope the weather will cooperate!
