BRAS MEMBERS and THE PUBLIC,
Please remember that Saturday, April 28th is Astronomy Day. We will be at the Lorain County MetroParks Carlisle Visitors Center on Diagonal Road in Carlisle township. The weather is not looking good for solar observing outside, BUT we have our usual meeting room (The Carlisle Room) inside. There we will have several laptops, to display astronomy software and apps and we will have videos to play. We also have handouts on getting started in astronomy, and about the club as well as star charts and other items. We have new business cards with QR codes on the back to hand out as well. We will also have telescopes on display.
Please consider coming to help. We will start setting up at 12:00 noon and the event runs from 1:00 to 6:00 PM. We can use help any time during those hours. This is a nice opportunity to bring astronomy to the public as well as to get potential new members. THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME! PLEASE JOIN US!

Then the following Saturday, May 5th, we have Astronomy Day at the Amherst Library. This event runs from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM and we will repeat the above activities. Hopefully the sky will be clear for solar observing, and inside we have a room reserved for activities as described above. The Public is welcome and members are asked to come and help.
Many thanks,
Steve Schauer
