Join us for the Amherst Public Library Astronomy Day this Saturday May 5th. The event runs from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. We will have solar observing outside (weather permitting) and inside we will have videos, demonstrations of astronomy software and telescopes. We also have hand-outs and Free CDs full of software for people to take home. Come and find out what backyard astronomy is all about.

The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
We will also have the Itty Bitty Radio Telescope on hand. We will have a spectroscope so viewers can see Solar spectra. There will also be a radio telescope that will allow us to see solar energy converted to voltage and to hear the solar music!
