The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing scheduled for March 21st.
WE have scheduled Public Observing for Friday March 21, from 9:00-11:00PM AT THE Nielsen Observatory. IF it is cloudy/rainy on Friday, we will cancel and try for Saturday the 22nd. PLease park in the lot on the right and walk over to the observatory buildings. Parking beside the buildings is restricted to people unloading telescopes and equipment, and those with mobility issues. Please watch for deer on the drive in. we hope you can join us. There are no reservations needed and this event is free and open to all.
