The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing CANCELLED 2/10/'24
After stalling all day trying to get a handle on the weather, we have finally decided to CANCEL Public Observing for Saturday Feb. 10th, 2024. While the sun is showing through high clouds currently, all the forecasts call for mostly cloudy skies tonight with both transparency and seeing rated as "poor".
Our next scheduled Public Observing session is Friday March 8 from 7:00-9:00 with Saturday the 9th as our back-up date. we hope to see you then.
