The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing CANCELLED 8/11/'23
We have CANCELLED Public Observing for tonight, Friday August 11, 2023 due to a forecast of thunderstorms tonight. Please note there is NO back-up date tomorrow because of another club activity elsewhere. Our next scheduled public observing event is next Friday the 18th with Saturday the 19th as our back-up.
