Club status update Sept. 13, 2020

With the pandemic showing no signs of abating and over 1,000 people a day becoming infected in Ohio, we have cancelled all public events for September. We have also cancelled the face to face General Meeting scheduled for Oct.7th and will have that meeting on Zoom. People on our mailing list will receive an email with the Zoom log-in numbers a few days before the meeting. Members with paid-up 2020 dues will also receive an email ballot that will allow you to vote for Board of Director members via email using Google Forms. When you receive your ballot, please vote promptly. You should receive it around the first of October. Members are also reminded that dues are due in October. A membership form will be included in the October Guidescope. You will need to print that out and mail it with a check to the Treasurer, Dan Walker whose address will be on the form. We are all frustrated that we can't carry out our public events. We are hoping that by Spring, a vaccine will be available and enough people will receive it that herd immunity can begin to build. Until this happens, I fear our lives will not return to what we used to consider normal. Stay well! Steve Schauer President
