We are OPEN for Public Observing for Friday October 18, 2019 from 8:00-10:00 PM. It will be chilly tonight, so please dress for the weather, as the observatory is unheated. Please park in the parking lot on the right and walk over to the observatory, as parking beside the building is restricted to members unloading telescopes and equipment. Also, please watch for deer on the drive in.
Please note that the Carlisle Visitors Center to the east of the Equestrian center where the observatory is, is holding their very popular Halloween event tonight, and there will be a crowd. It might be easier to come to the observatory from the west off of Parsons road, as there will be traffic if coming from the east off of Rt. 301/Lagrange Rd. We hope you can join us.
The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
