We are OPENING the Nielsen Observatory for a public star party tonight, Friday Jan. 19th from 8:00-10:00 PM. We have a clear night, which is somewhat unusual in January, so we want to take advantage of it to observe. Come join us to see the heavens through powerful telescopes.
Please park in the parking lot on the right and walk over to the observatory. Parking beside the building is restricted to members unloading telescopes and equipment. Also, please watch for deer on the drive in! We hope you can join us tonight!

The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
