We are OPEN for Public Observing tonight, Saturday Dec. 16th from 7:00-9:00 PM. We are hosting a Gemini Meteor Party, so bring a lounge chair for what we hope, will be a good show. We will also point our telescopes at other celestial objects.
Please park in the parking lot on the right and walk over to the observatory building. Parking beside the building is restricted to members unloading heavy telescopes and equipment. Please watch for deer on the drive in. Also, be aware that the path to the observatory is usually not plowed so you may be walking through some slushy snow, so wear appropriate shoes and warm clothes.

The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
