The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing CANCELLED for 3/18/'17
Once again we are forced to CANCEL Public Observing for Saturday, 3/18, due to rain and clouds. Our next Public Observing session is next weekend the 24/25th from 9:00-11:00. Our next General Meeting is Wednesday April 5th at 7:00 PM at Sandy Ridge. Dan Walker and Steve Schauer will be speaking on the total solar eclipse that is coming up on August 21st of this year. The public is welcome.
