We are OPENING the Nielsen Observatory to the public tonight for a public star party. We will start at 8:00 PM and observe until 10:00. The temperature is going to fall into the mid 40s so please dress warmly as the observatory is unheated. See the "maps" tab on the home page of this website for a map and directions to the observatory. Please park on the right in the big parking lot and walk over to the observatory on the left. Parking beside the observatory is restricted to club members who are unloading telescopes and equipment. We hope you can join us!

The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
