Sadly we have CANCELLED observing tonight (9/19/'15). The clearing that was forecast isn't going to occur until around 2:00 AM leaving us with skies too cloudy for observing.
Our next public event is a TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE PARTY happening on Sunday Sept. 27th starting at 8:30 PM at the Nielsen Observatory. Please click on the "Maps" tab on this website for a map of the location of the observatory. We hope you can join us!

The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
