We have reluctantly CANCELLED Public Observing for Saturday 3/16/'13 due to poor weather. The original forecast of "partly cloudy" has been changed to "mostly cloudy" and the National Weather Service Graphical Forecast is calling for 94% cloud cover at 9:00 "improving to 73% cloud cover at 11:00. When we add the cold and damp conditions, there is little chance of doing astronomy tonight.
Our next scheduled Public Observing is Friday April 5th from 9:00-11:00. Please join us. Our next General Meeting is Wednesday April 3rd at 7:00 at the Carlisle Visitors Center. The public is welcome. The program will be on beginning astrophotography.
The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.
