The purpose of this forum is to provide a place for members of The Black River Astronomical Society to blog, discuss upcoming meetings, cancel meeting, advertise their intent to go to the Nielson, etc. The Black River Astronomical Society has been bringing astronomy to, and serving Lorain County residents continuously since 1949.

Public Observing Back-Up CANCELLED
The Public Observing back-up session for Feb. 18th is CANCELLED. The radar shows clouds moving in from the North for now and a larger cloud deck approaching from the Southwest. The Clear Sky Clock and the 48 Hour Graphical Forecast both show cloud cover to be in the 80% range for this evening. The public is invited to our next General Meeting which is Wednesday March 7th at 7:00 at the Carlisle Visitor's Center, and our next Public Observing session is Friday March 2nd from 7:00-9:00.
