The Geminid Meteor Shower scheduled for Sunday, December 13th, 2009 at the Nielsen Observatory is cancelled due to cloudy skies.
Weather maps indicate cloud cover throughout most of the night and specifically for the posted time of the Star Party.
The Clear Sky Clock indicates a possible clearing in the clouds between 3:00am and 8:00am, so you may wish to set your alarm clock for 3:00am and go outside to take a peak, or just get up a half hour early in the morning and step outside for a quick look.
However the small window on the Clear Sky Clock is iffy and will probably not yield much, but the brave at heart may be rewarded for trying. Stranger things have happened...

In the included image you can see 9 Perseid Meteors shot earlier this year during the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower.
