Tonight's Star Party and Observing session at the Neilson Observatory is cancelled due to inclement weather.
If there should be a little break in the clouds and you want to try to find Comet Lulin tonight, begin by looking south about 25 degrees above the horizon. Look for the part of the constellation Leo that looks like a backwards question mark. Find the star that makes up the period in the question mark. The comet will be VERY VERY close to this star, slightly above and to the right of this star.
The best instrument to use to locate Comet Lulin is a pair of Binoculars. The comet will appear as a faint, fuzzy patch of light, perhaps with a stellar looking center.

PS, This is a fast moving comet. If you try to find it tomorrow, Saturday, the 28th, it will be a few degrees away, above and to the right of Regulus, the period in the question mark.
